Every night I plug in phone for overnight update. For weeks message keeps appearing unable to install Security Update on my iPhone. Was purchased in Dec 2021 iPhone SE running iOS 15.5. What do I do?

When your iPhone has been set to automatically update (download+update)
you may consider setting auto-factor, off; so the download is more manual.
You manually choose to run the updater, it may download & wait there.
And it is not a security update, the latest download should include that too.
(You could try calling AppleCare, to see if they suggest taking iPhone to
AASP or Apple store genius(?) That iOS updates latest iPhone iOS 15.6.1)
You may try to download and update iPhone but it may not work. What
build year model MacBook have you? ~ It may yet upgrade to 10.13.6.

But I'd ask AppleCare if they could direct you to nearest Apple location
who can assist in download/install of iPhone update iOS 15.6.1 for now.

my Apple MacBook is too old it's still running El Captain. Researching now which MacBook to purchase when I have enough money saved. Do I shut off the phone and restart? One of the messages reads that the update might not install in some regions, and/or some iPhones. I have Apple Care guess I should call them?
