Why was I charged 14.99 tax?

Why was I charged 14.99+tax? I don’t know which device! None of them. I am not having a problem with any of my devices.

Refunds are needed for several reasons and this page should contain all of the resources needed to guide you to the correct support. If you are scammed on Apple Cash you cannot get a refund but you can open a dispute (Send and receive money with Apple Pay - Apple Support - last subject on page)

If these steps do not work go here - iTunes - Official Apple Support at the bottom select "get support" then select Billing & Subscriptions>then select Subscriptions and Purchases


How to request a refund

    1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
    2. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
    3. If you see the "Report" or "Report a Problem" button next to the item that you want to request a refund for, click it.
    4. Follow the instructions on the page to choose the reason why you want a refund and submit your request.

Apple Pay - online purchase

If you made a purchase online and the store says you must go through Apple Pay, open Wallet>tap on the card used>tap on the transaction (photo 1)>tap on the amount (photo 2)>look for a report an issue link. (photo 3)

Apple Pay - in store purchase

The cashier can use the Device Account Number to process your return. To find the Device Account Number on your iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down to Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Tap the card.

For Apple Watch:

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to the My Watch tab & tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Tap your card.


If the cashier needs your card details:

  • On the device that you used to buy the item, choose the card that you want to be refunded in Apple Pay.
  • On your iPhone, hold the device near the reader and authorize.
  • On your Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch within a few centimeters of the contactless reader. 

For items that you bought using a Suica or PASMO card with Apple Pay, return the item to the same terminal where you made the purchase before you use Suica or PASMO to make another purchase with Apple Pay.

It may take several days for a refund to appear on your card statement.

Different refunds take a different amount of time. Some are quick but some are not.

When will I get the money back?

If your refund is approved, the funds are applied to the same payment method that you used to buy the item. Here's how long it takes for a refund to appear on your account or statement:


Store credit—It might take up to 48 hours to see the refund in your Apple ID balance.  


Mobile phone billing—It might take up to 60 days for the statement to show the refund. Processing time might be affected by your carrier. You can contact your carrier for an update.


All other payment methods—It might take up to 30 days for the statement to show the refund. If you don't see the refund after 30 days, contact your financial institution.
