Can I turn off two factor authentication for my apple ID password?

Can I send the two factor authentication code to an email instead of a phone?

Thank you in advance,

Diane Niles

You can only turn it off if it has been on less than two weeks (an you may not be able to do it even then). See: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support

The code cannot be sent to an email but can be sent to a trusted device or a trusted phone number. See the same support article in the first paragraph above.
