Photos: Transfer or copy pictures from old Mac to new Mac

I just bought a new iMac(Apple M1) and I am very happy with it. The only problem I have is:

I want to download my pictures from my old Mac onto my new one.

I have the iPhoto Library.migrated (13.3GB) and the Photos Library (14 GB) on an extern hard disk.

How can I Transfer or copy the pictures from my old Mac to my new Mac?

At 77, I need all the help I can get! Thank you

Ron

Just drag the Photos Library from the external disk to the Pictures Folder on the new machine.

When it's copied over, double click on it. That will open the library in Photos on the new machine.
