Wi Fi not working on phone, says WPA/WPA2 is not consider secure. However our router is configured to WPA2. Is it that my Iphone is an Iphone 8 plus?

Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support
iOS has begun warning you when you connect to a wifi router with what are considered insecure settings.
The settings have to be changed on the router.

iOS has begun warning you when you connect to a wifi router with what are considered insecure settings.
The settings have to be changed on the router.
Your router needs to be configured to both WPA2 and to AES (or to WPA3) for the security warning to not appear. The AES option is usually in the same router settings area near the WPA2 option.
