How can I network a Mac Mini M1 to a mac pro 5.1 by either cable or wifi?

Does anyone know how to network a Mac Mini to a Mac Pro 5.1 either by cable, wifi or both?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

The Mac Mini is running Monterey and the MacPro I believe is running High Sierra 10.13.6 (hope that helps.)

If you will be moving a lot of files regularly, connecting both Macs to your Router (NOT directly to each other!) with Ethernet cabling will give you consistently fast, trouble-free, data highway for File sharing to work across.

Your ethernet cables need to have all eight wires present, else you will be limited to baseband speeds of 100 M bits/sec.
