Fill down in numbers

Have been dragging the little circle down in the formula cell to fill down for years. Suddenly, the little circle is gone. I can see it in the next cell the the left, but, not in the formula cell.

Merged cell? If so, for some reason the yellow circle does not appear. You will need to use copy/paste instead.

If not a merged cell then take a screenshot and post it. Sometimes us seeing it helps point to the problem.

Don't try to drag the circle at the lower right corner of the cell. Instead, hover near the bottom edge of the cell and drag the yellow dot that appears.

Start by changing the color of you background and foreground (or any *ground) as well as any part of 'that' cell that is yellow. Get rid of yellow (for the reset - once you have your fix, you can go back to your colors). See Change table gridlines and colors in Numbers on Mac - Apple Support

Next zoom in. Sometimes, when we have the sheet zoom'ed out (too far) we lose the ability to see that little dot.

Also, are you using the most current version of Mac IOS and Numbers *and* any mouse software you might be using if not using an apple mouse?

If it is some kind of glitch/bug, I doubt we can help too much to fix. Trying to diagnose it may require you trying a few things and posting more.

Did you try closing the document and reopening it? I assume after a few days you have but I am asking to be sure.

Other than merged cells or the cell being in a header row and you trying to drag it into a "data" row, I can't think of any usual reasons why the dot does not appear for you. The cell isn't merged and doesn't look like a header so it is neither of those things. There may be another reason that is not a glitch or bug but I cannot think of one at this time.

What is making the cells yellow? Is it a conditional highlight or did you set a background color? What is the formula in the cell? Is there anything special about the format of the cell? Is it just this one cell or is it every cell or multiple cells in the column?

If you duplicate the document, does the duplicate have the same problem?

Sometimes an image helps identify the problem. I am not hopeful in this case, just grasping at straws and trying to find some way to replicate the problem here. Can you post a screenshot of the table with the cell selected and showing the column letters and numbers? If it has personal information, take a screenshot of the duplicate with everything deleted (and see if it still has the problem while you're at it) with the cell selected.
