Swipe up to unlock not working sometimes.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro. Sometimes, swipe up to unlock doesn’t work and my touch screen gets unresponsive. There is not even a single scratch or dent on my iPhone. Physically it’s in a prime condition.

Before updating to ios 16 it used to get resolved on its own if I left the iPhone idle for sometime but now after the ios 16 update I have to hard restart it a couple of time or sometimes even 3-4 times to fix it.

I am looking for a more permanent solution to the problem.

I have already tried the following fixes:

1) I removed my screen protector glass and the iPhone case. Did not help.

2)I reset all settings. Still not resolved the issue.

3)I even reset my phone to factory settings erasing all my data. The issue still persists.

The problem is very frustrating and has left me embarrassed in a few situations ( like when I was not able to open my ticket at the airport or book a cab).

My iPhone 6s lasted for almost 5 years.

As far as I can remember, iPhones used to last longer.

Please help me out because I have almost give up all hopes.
