Hi there! I have the 1st generation Apple TV and unable to get into my Apple Account: it always answer "incorrect password" instead of giving me some space to input 6-digits verification code. How can I fix it?
If you have an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) and two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, then you may be asked to type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field. Additionally, there is a time limit, after which the code becomes invalid.
Try this: First enter the characters of your password (do not submit yet), then manually request a new verification code, then append that code to the password (no spaces or other separating characters), and then submit. That should help you get passed the time limit.

If you have the white/aluminum 2007 model Apple TV, then that is technically and practically obsolete now.
If you have a black Apple TV, then it is at least 2nd generation.

It is black plastic… Probably 2nd. It’s not then 8 years old, definitely it’s not HD version

Unfortunately I’m still unable to download additional apps to AppleTV 2nd generation - but it’s another story and unrecoverable problem.
