iPad mini will not access email

Using iPad mini, iOS 15.7, I cannot access email account.

There are 5 accounts in place but one is not.

Attempt to re-install, I get note that no password is provided.

The account was deleted, iPad restarted several times in attempt to re-install..

I have the password recorded for guidance, and use it on two other iPads as well as Windows.

I carefully place it in the password part of the install

This one was made unavailable in May.

Could someone explain and help me fix that ?

the next step is to contact your mail provider or look at their support site.

For the email account with which you are having difficulties, had the email provider switched to using App Specific Passwords? If so, you will need to generate a unique password for your iPad email account - that will differ from your normal Account Password. As examples - AOL, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft all use App Specific Passwords when using anything other than their own email client Apps.

If you need to generate an App Specific Password, you’ll need to log-in to your Mail Providers account management webpage - using a web browser - and generate the Password from the appropriate account security page.

More information about AOL’s App Specific Passwords can be found here:

For Yahoo, more information can be found here:

For Gmail:

Microsoft:

As I stated, password is not accepted when entered, recorded correctly. We keep passwords on physical record keeper, so I KNOW the password.

"NO password provided for ....."

"Please go to Mail Account settings and enter a password"

Please note;

email account is entered correctly as is password

Must I do a reset of the iPad to correct this? I recently had to on iPhone 11 Pro after 15.6.1, 15.7

The lost account is one of several on the iPad, others are accepted
