i am trying to update my iphone 11 software to ios 16. it is stuck on "update requested" for 2 days now

Updating an iPhone 11 to iOS 16:
Restart your iPhone, and then do so using WiFi or Ethernet on a computer.

Back Up First:
IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update.

Check to make sure your iPhone is connected to the internet, by bringing up safari and see if you can connect to Apple.com. If that comes up, then try and pause the iOS 16 update and resume. Make sure it’s plugged in the charger as well.
