Series 3 Apple Watch

I really want to upgrade to iPhone 14 from IPhone 11, but not in the market yet to upgrade my Apple Watch 3. I know the series 3s are now going to be phased out. Will I still be able to sync my Apple Watch 3 to iPhone 14?

You should be able to but the watch will only update to WatchOS8.7.

sync watch series 7 to ios 14.8 I was planning on preordering an Apple Watch Series on Friday. However, my iPhone 12 Pro is at ios 14.8. Will I have to upgrade the phone to 15 in order to sync the new watch? If so, that is a show stopper for me until they get some of the bugs fixed in 15. Thank you.
