I just bought the ICloud but it’s still saying my storage is full and I need to free space

Please do not confuse the device internal storage (not upgradable in iPhones/iPads) with iCloud Storage.

Buying iCloud space does not add space to your iPhone. Go to Settings > iPhone Storage and see if you have any suggestions for freeing up space.
