I migrated to a new mac but my iphoto folder didn't. How can I transfer my i photo folder to my new mac?

If your old Mac was running iPhotos rather than the newer Photos app, hold down the option key while opening the Photos app and it will give you the option to select your iPhotos library and it will open and convert it to Photos.
