Blocked mail not moved to Trash?

On my Mac OS Monterey. I have checked and double checked the Junk Mail settings to ensure I have enabled Blocked mail filtering and set it to "Move it to Trash"

Why does this not work?

You are very correct regarding Move Junk to Trash - it does not happen .

Have 2 Apple Silicon Computers running every version of Monterey from initial version 12.0.1 to version 12.6

Then have a few suggestions ;

1 - Get Support Choose a product and we’ll find you the best solution.Start now and open an Apple Support Ticket as they are Apple Employees to deal will these types of issues.

2 - Product Feedback - Apple and make it known to Apple regarding this ongoing issue

I have my junk empty every time I come out mail. Set up in your junk folder preferences. There is no choice to move junk to trash automatically. If you do not like the system then send feedback to Apple.

I do not understand your answer. Junk does not move to trash automatically either. It is stored in the junk folder unless you create rules for every email you want to block. This is stupid.
