Trying to update my Late 2011 MacBook pro so I can do school work but it will not allow me with the version I have now. When I try to update to high sierra it sends a message saying it's too dangerous.

The install file is corrupt. So, attempt another install. Connect this locally to your router, using an ethernet cable.

Yea I looked through all those and nothing works. Mine is a late 2011 model MacBook pro with OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.5. Guessing ill just have to get a new computer seeing as I can't update this one.
Choose Applications from the Finder's Go menu, throw the existing installer away, restart the computer, and download it again.
