grayed out file
how do i undo grayed out files. a lot of people are telling me that i am viewing them in "File Chooser" but no one is telling my how to fix is and undo the grayed out file. thank you

Here is a "File Chooser" that simulates an application Open. In this implementation, it is configured to select one PDF and all other file types are ignored (grayed out). Copy/paste it into the Script Editor, click the hammer icon, and then press control+cmd+R to run it.
If I understand your question there is nothing to "fix". Files are "grayed" out when the app you are using can't open them.
That, also, is a good point. Now I think I understand the "File Chooser" term.
Type cmd-shift-. ← That's a Period
That shortcut toggles showing hidden files on and off.
I have no idea what "File Chooser" is or what they could possibly mean by it.

You could have just said, it's someones poor terminology for an Open File dialog (or now sheet), but I had already figured that out from dialabrain's post.
