I started my Mac in Safe Mode and that did not help either. What are my other options? Thanks.
Assuming you mean the preview pane, hover the cursor over the right or bottom edge of the Mail window (depending on where it's set) until it turns into a small arrow. Then click and drag to the left or upwards until the pane pops open.
Apologies for not being clear. I am talking about the List Preview that you can set from None to 5 lines in Mail>Preferences. I have set to three lines and no lines are showing, as if I have set the List Preview preference to None.
No problem. Do you have "Use Column Layout" disabled in the View menu?
