When texting my wife it does not show up on her iPhone. When she text me, it comes to my iPhone. Why can’t she see mine?

Hi Terry Lennon,

Please ask your wife to try the steps here: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone or iPad

Once she clicks and opens the link, please have her read through and complete the steps in the section titled "If you receive messages on one device but not the other."

If you have an iPhone and another iOS or iPadOS device, like an iPad, your iMessage settings might be set to receive and start messages from your Apple ID instead of your phone number. To check if your phone number is set to send and receive messages, go to Settings > Messages, and tap Send & Receive.

If you don't see your phone number, you can link your iPhone number to your Apple ID so you can send and receive iMessages from your phone number. You can also set up Text Message Forwarding so you can send and receive MMS and SMS messages on all of your Apple devices.

We recommend the steps above because they will show your wife what to do if she cannot receive text messages on her iPhone.

If she's still experiencing the same issue, then make sure that your number isn't accidentally blocked on your wife's phone by following the steps in the link here: Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Reach out to the community for more help if her issue has not been resolved, and we will continue from there.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

Cheers!
