"Johannes Luijten" background item after updating to macOS Ventura

Is anyone else seeing a "Johannes Luijten" background item after updating to macOS Ventura? I am trying to determine if this is a bug, a remnant of the testing within Apple, or if my iMac has some kind of issue.

For now I've disabled it and rebooted and things seem to work fine with it turned off, but I can't find anything related to that name that would be tied to anything I knowingly installed on my Mac. I also don't see it listed in my Activity Monitor.

It turns out it was the helper app for ApplePiBaker. Since it doesn't seem to work with Ventura yet, I've removed it along with the helper app following the instructions from their forum. After doing the steps below and rebooting, the background app is no longer showing up.

  • Removed the .app and emptied the trash
  • Removed the /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.twe* file
  • Removed the /Library/LaunchDaemons plist file
  • Rebooted
