Every time I take a screenshot, I get a thumbnail preview appearing in the bottom right for 5 seconds before disappearing.
How can I prevent this from always appearing, and simply just saving directly to the desktop?

Press command shift 5. Under "Options", uncheck "Show Floating Thumbnail".
