How do I make everything on my display bigger?

How do I make everything on my macOS Monterey display bigger. It's hared to read the small letters in browsers and in Mail. Option+Plus doesn't make the text n the list of emails bigger, thought it makes the text in the preview pane bigger

Change the resolution in the Displays System Preferences.

How to increase the size of the text in the viewing window I just started using Apple mail that came with my new MacBook Air. The text is simply too small for incoming messages and also when I am composing messages. I have increased the preferred font size, but that has not changed what I see. Also, there doesn't appear to be a way to Zoom in to increase the size of the text - when I choose Zoom, it takes me to a full screen view, but the text is still too small. I never had this issue with Outlook and do not have this issue with Pages or other applications. Very frustrating!

Apple mail app, how do I Increase (zoom in) displayed text size (not font). My wife (a Mac book air user) has been struggling with the mail compose window. I have tried to find a way of increasing the size of the displayed text without increasing the font size, which changes the size of the text for the recipient. I've searched the forums with no luck, finally resorting to calling Apple support again today but there doesn't seem to be a solution. Has anyone resolved this issue? Why don't Apple address the issue? Just to make sure I wasn't going mad, I checked in Thunderbird on my Ubuntu Linux machine and on my work PC running Windows 10 and using Outlook, no problem. I can zoom in and out with Command opt + and - (ctrl+alt on Linux/Windows of course). Is it time to give up on Apple mail software and install Thunderbird, it seems far better. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
