I am attempting to update my iPhone 12 and it continuously keeps saying update error. What do I do?

Are you trying to update over the air, directly from the phone? See these support documents. If your iPhone or iPad won't update - Apple Support

Is that all the error says? What is the current iOS you have on the iPhone? Have you used beta software?

I currently have 15.6.1 and I am sorry but I am not sure what beta software is. 🤷‍♀️
