audio from MacBook to Homepod issues.

Has anyone had issues with streaming Apple Library audio from MacBook to Homepod with newest Big Sur OS installed? ie. gaps in audio?

Homepod as sound output from Mac Mini issue I love my homepod but I've had issues with as long as I've owned it. I use a 2018 Mac Mini to stream music to it. Playing music with either Music, VLC, or YouTube. The Mac has both Ethernet & WiFi & is on the same network as the homepod. In general I don't have any issues with connecting to the Homepod, but at times no sound will come from the Homepod. If keep the music 'playing' but switch the sound output on my MacMini (using the menu bar sound drop down) sure enough the track is playing & non network connected devices play it fine. If I put on a album to listen to, it will be playing fine, then all of a sudden I'll just get minutes of silence as the Homepod decides to just not play sound from one track. Also I have an intermittent issue of when disconnecting the Mac from the Homepod it will sometimes disrupt the Network connection to my Mac, causing network drives to disconnect.

HomePod Mini audio cutting out I love the sound from my HomePod Mini. The problem is that when playing audio from my MacBook Air, the audio cuts out for several seconds at a time. It happens very frequently and absolutely ruins my audio experience. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Apple Music or YouTube, it just happens all the time. I know it’s an issue with the MacBook because if I play audio from my iPhone 14 ProMax or my iPad, the problem does not occur. I would appreciate any help.

Apple Music on Mac streaming to HomePod always stops after three tracks If I play any kind of music tracks from my Mac streaming to HomePod, the music just stops playing after three tracks. I cannot play a whole album through!

If you're unable to use AirPlay between a Mac and a HomePod, you can try these steps: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device

If the issue is specifically with the HomePod and it's not responding properly, you can try these steps: If HomePod mini or HomePod isn't responding

If AirPlay still won't work properly between those devices, you'll want to contact Apple to report the issue: Get Support
