Black Background

With my browser I can't see what iOS you have, but if you are on iOS16 your old background may not be compatible.

Go to Settings, Wallpaper and add a new LockScreen and Home Screen pair using the photo or pattern of choice.

I should clarify - you need to create a brand new lock screen + home screen pair.

You can use the same old photo which will appear on both.

Then you can change the photo on the home screen if you wish.

I’m on iOS 16 on a 12 Pro - same problem. My wallpaper is one of my own photos, so compatibility shouldn’t be an issue? I will try resetting it perhaps and give that a try.
