In my finder, Airdrop doesnt bring out the option to " connect with contact, everyone or everybody" it just shows Airdrop without the ability to connwct with my iphone

My mac book usually shut down during operation and i have tried all i could to stop this but it still happens, what must i do?

Secondly i cant Use my Macbook Airdrop as there is no option for "connect with contact, everyone ...", i only see the Airdrop in the finder but it wouldnt even bring out options or connect. I need to understand what i must do to change this

Start with this...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
