Buying vs renting a movie at Apple TV

What’s the difference between buying & renting a movie at Apple TV? If I buy a movie, does that mean I can watch it anytime, even when it’s no longer available at Apple TV?

Buying a movie means you can keep it as long as you have the file, and in most cases, freely redownload it from the same country's iTunes Store for as long as it's available.

Renting a movie only gives you a limited time period to keep and watch it.
