how do i turn off do not disturb?

Here's Apple Support's article about the "Do Not Disturb" settings on iPhone

tap the time it is set for to turn the setting off (such as “For 1 hour” or “Until the end of this event")

or

Turn off where the article says Turn on

It sounds like you're going to the Control Center and trying to tap on the Focus button. However, if you press and hold it, you'll get all those other options. Make sure you just tap it.
