Calendar app for iPad

How to close side bar on my iOS 15.6.1 iPad calendar. It will not close. There is no blue icon to close it.

Calendar cannot close calendar selection screen When I open the IOS calendar app it immediately opens into the Calendar selection screen where you can toggle on and off each calendar. However the option to close that screen is not present and I cannot return to normal Calendar items view mode. The work around is to swipe-up and close the app. First time access is then as normal; however when I close the device and later reopen the agenda I get locked into the agenda selection screen again.

How do I get rid of bright line on screen that appears in calendar monthly view? I have a new iPad. While trying to close the calendar, I swiped up. Instead of closing the calendar, a bright, short red line came up. Now it stays in the same spot on my screen when I’m in monthly view regardless of the month I chose. How do I get rid of it?

Only dots on monthly calendar. Just got a new iPad Pro. Huge screen, right! When I open the calendar in the monthly view I only see dots where there’s an event, like on my iPhone. Is there a way to change this? All of my calendars are checked. I’ve deleted & reinstalled the app & done a hard reset. Nothing.
