Hide My Email: Email not being received

OK, here is the specific scenario... ordered Concert Tickets through Stubhub. Mistakenly left Hide My Email on and a random email alias was created and shared to Stubhub. I have received order confirmation from Stubhub. But the tickets come from a third party. Can you confirm, that if the third party forwards the tickets to my hide my email alias, they won't come through? Because they haven't. Email from Stubhub continues to come through, but not my actual tickets.

I suspect that Hide My Email sets up the alias to only receive email from the domain it was set up for (in this case Stubhub.com) and that any other domain trying to use it will block the email? Is there a way to confirm this? $800 worth of tickets, I need to find them!

Hi kgeorgeson,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! When using Hide My Email to create accounts through apps or websites, it will be unique to that site and they'll be the only one who can communicate with you using it. Find more information on that topic below from the article What is Hide My Email?:

If you create an account with an app or visit a website that supports Sign in with Apple, you can choose to share your email address, if you're familiar with the app or website, or hide your email address, if you'd prefer more privacy. If you choose the Hide my Email option, only the app or website you created the account with can use this random email address to communicate with you. Learn more about Sign in with Apple

Since you're unable to receive information on your tickets from them, we suggest contacting Stubhub or the third party company for options on how to access the tickets.

Cheers!
