Ios 16.1.2 bug issue with 5G update

As I said, just because 5G is available doesn’t mean you automatically get it. You must contact your cellular carrier first to see if your current plan allows it. Your carrier may have to enable it on your iPhone 14 for the option to show up.

You cannot switch to 5G unless you already have a 5G plan with your carrier. You will need to contact your cellular carrier about 5G plans and that assumes your model phone is capable of 5G to start with.

Though iOS 16.1.2 says,

This update provides important security updates and the following enhancements for your iPhone:

• Improved compatibility with wireless carriers

This is not yet acknowledged by the Operator (Airtel)

My friend has an oneplus device and a airtel sim-card which is 5g enabled(almost all the airtel sims are)

and he has a 4g plan and still he is able to use 5g on his phone. And i also have a airtel sim. And also the airtel app lets you check if your phone is 5g enabled or not.

So what you are saying is we need to contact our carrier I.e. Airtel and we need to take a 5G plan the. We can see an option of 5G in the carrier options am I right?

I updated to this release and it fubared my 5G I use to get full bars everywhere now I get 1 bar.
