When Listening to audio with my AirPods they switch back and forth from my phone to my AirPods can anyone help

Start here:

If the sound from your wireless headphones cuts out or is distorted

Note: you can manually switch it back-and-forth. See this:

1) Open the Control Center

2) Long press on the music controls

3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)

4) Select AirPods / iPhone
