my password does not work

Whenever I log out from my Macbook Pro, I can no longer use my password to log in. However, before logging out, my password was working perfectly fine. I was able to use my password to unlock my screen, but after shutting down my MacBook I had to use the recovery mode to log in. Also when I used the recovery mode there were three options and the one I picked said " my password does not work..." and it required me to write my current password and then create a new one. I was able to use my old password to create a new one but it did not work while I was trying to log in. This issue happened two times and I made sure that I wrote the exactly same password I have.


Does anyone also experienced this issue or someone knows how to solve this?

To help resolve this issue, boot into safe mode. Safe mode can clear caches and resolve unexpected issues like the one you're having: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support


How to use safe mode
Determine whether you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, then follow the appropriate steps:
Apple silicon
1. Shut down your Mac.
2. Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.
3. Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”
4. Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.
Intel processor
1. Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift keyas your Mac starts up.
2. Release the key when you see the login window, then log in to your Mac. 
3. You might be asked to log in again. On either the first or second login window, you should see ”Safe Boot” in the upper-right corner of the window.
