Lock Screen/Home Screen

If you are using iOS 16, follow the instructions for setting up your wallpaper then, when you tap on 'Add’, you should get the prompt shown here

tap 'Customise Home Screen’ and this will allow you several options including selecting a completely different photo.

Yeah, the standard is to have them both be the same.

However, you can make them different, but it is complicated. There are some non-Apple sites that describe the steps. Just perform an on-line search to get the instructions.

You're welcome, glad to hear that it solved your problem. I use the new wallpaper customiser extensively; currently I have 75 background pairs from which to choose. I need to thin them out – presumably they are taking up space somewhere.
