I purchased a refurbished pencil 2 for my iPad Pro

The pencil is connected/paired and is fully charged, if I double tap the pencil it changes to the eraser, as it should, yet it won’t write?

I’ve rebooted, reconnected etc.

iPad Pro, 11-inch, 4th Gen, Wi-Fi

As described, your Pencil may be defective - and require replacement. As the pencil can both pair and communicate with iPad via bluetooth, symptoms suggest that the transducer (beneath the replaceable Pencil Tip) that interacts with the iPad screen may be defective.
