Apple Card Refund

I had purchased something using Apple Pay with a card added on my Wallet app. Now after couple of months I got refunded for the order from seller and refund was issued on the same card. Apple Pay adds a different card number for the cards added on the wallet app. In between I had changed my iPhone and got a new one. I check all the card numbers that Apple wallet app gives to my cards and they were different from where the refund was issued and doesn't match to the ones I see. How can I make sure that I actually got refunded on the old card number linked to Apple Pay wallet app for one of my card?
