Click on this link to find out how to sign in with your Apple ID --> Sign in with your Apple ID - Apple Support "After you log in, you can use the App Store, iCloud, iMessage, Apple Music, Apple TV+, and more."

That said, it sounds like you may have an app or something that was downloaded with a different Apple ID. You will need to sign in under that account if you wish to update the app. Alternatively, delete the app and buy it with the account you normally use.
