Forward/Back buttons missing from browser

Does anyone know how I can get my forward and back buttons back on my Safari browser toolbar? They have vanished. The Customise Toolbar option does not allow me to reinstall them.

You can try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. That can sometimes correct anomalies.
