If the iPad has recently been repaired - and you cannot reactivate the iPad - you would be best advised to return to whoever repaired your device. Be aware that if parts have been replaced by anyone other that Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP), Apple will not provide any ongoing assistance or support.

Start here >>> If you can't activate your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) - Apple Support

If you are experiencing difficulties with (re)activation of your iPad, you may have more success if you connect your iPad to a Windows PC (with iTunes for Windows installed) or a Mac (with iTunes or Finder - as appropriate for the installed version of macOS). Once connected to your computer, your iPad will be detected - and you should be able to activate using iTunes.

  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of macOS or the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Check that your computer has an Internet connection.
  3. With the cable that came with your iPad, connect your iPad to your computer. Locate your device on your computer.
  4. Wait while your computer detects and activates your iPad:
  • If you see an alert that shows "Set up as New" or "Restore from Backup", it means your iPad is activated.
  • If you get an error message that says the "activation information was invalid" or "activation information could not be obtained from the device", use recovery mode to restore your iPhone.

A restart of your WiFi Router and/or a change of DNS settings may also be helpful.

To restart you home router, disconnect power - then wait at least 30 seconds before restarting. When you router has rebooted (which may take several minutes), force-restart your iPad:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

For recommended DNS servers (configured at your home router and/or your iPad), you might choose one of the following Recursive DNS Providers (IPv4 and IPv6 addresses included below):

149.112.112.112

Troubleshooting a Device Not being Seen?

If you device is not being seen, then it may be due to being block out by SecuritySoftware, or it may not be being read by the ports, properly.

  • Blocked Out:

Security Software:

So, to fix this, uninstall the Security Software, using an uninstaller, as instructed by the Developer. Contact he developer, asking them which Uninstaller to use. Security Software just gets in the way on a Mac, and this is a pure example of how and why.

  • Not Being Seen:

Perform SMC and NVRAM Resets:

Reset your SMC and your NVRAM. Sometimes changes are mage to the system (i.e upgrades), and then settings (i.e. for USB ports) become manipulated, technically. So, reset both. It might take up to three tries for a success full reset of each. So, be certain you have the time to do so.

Thank you for your reply .first I think with my request help I may not have made it clear enough therefore you might have misunderstood.the problem I have is the iPad Pro 11 could not turn on ,then I took it to the phone shop to get it fix , what ever the phone shop did it turn on as normal. But it is back to brand new set up as I set up it just can’t connect to the Apple server, but the wifi symbol shown it is connected I had to keep trying to connect, but same results. I tried to connect to my MacBook Air 2015 to get it up date via iTunes.first it shows the right model but 256gb instead of 64 gb as it should be. After that it just won’t recognise the iPad at all .I even took the iPad to Apple store to quote for fault and repair, but they had the same problem the laptop doesn’t recognise it. To get it repair will cost me paying a bit more on top will get a brand new later model of the iPad 11 pro .
