Make dock on a specific monitor open the apps to that monitor

Hi all,

When I am running 2 separate monitors with 2 separate desktops, how can I make the dock on the first monitor open an app on to the first monitor and the dock from second monitor automatically open the app onto the second monitor?

Right now, regardless of which dock I use, it opens each app onto the desktop that the app was last on. I have to drag it to the next monitor to have it be able to open on that one.

Thanks

The Dock doesn't control where apps are opened.

I don't have two monitors to try and work out the matrix, but you could try setting the apps to be assigned to All Desktops or None. But, I think that is also display-specific, so may not be possible.

There is also a setting in Mission Control, When switching to an application, switch to a space with open windows for the application.

Some combination of those two settings may allow what you want.
