I use preview to make flat PDFs by saving to PS, and I've done this a lot. Did an update recently, and suddenly Preview cannot open PS files.
Is this a change in Preview or do I need to change a setting somewhere?
You can make flattened PDF by using Preview > Print… PDF > Save as PDF too. You can open Postscript/EPS files in the free Skim PDF viewer.
