Select text on Mac Word

How do I select text to cut, paste, or move? I am using my mouse and don’t recall ever having this problem before. I even set the “select” command on my ribbon but it doesn’t work.

Use the Keyboard for Microsoft Word:

Select the Text, then...

  • Cut: [control + x] keys
  • Paste: [control + v] key
  • Select Text: Hold down [shift] key and then use the arrow keys to select the text. Then, use cut, and paste it where desired.
