Mr Phillips, thanks for your reply. Whilst I consider myself fairly computer literate, quite how I go about logging into the Web portal of my e-mail server is something of a mystery. Can you talk me through the procedure please?
If you use iCloud go iCloud.com
Yahoo go yahoo.com
etc etc etc
Think you get the idea
tge login using the same user ID for their email service and the same password used in Apple mail specifically their service
Log into the Web Portal of your e-mail Servers and see if they are there.
If Yes, delete them
Check back in the Apple Mail Application if they are also removed.
OK, tried that, the troublesome e-mails not seen elsewhere but my live mail box, so I guess it's back to square one.
