I can't play my downloaded movies on my MacBook Pro, I can only stream them.

As always Apple drops an update that disables features or services I use on my Mac. This happened after upgrade to Monterey. I am unable to play downloaded movies purchased from the iTunes store on my mac pro. I can stream movies I have not yet downloaded though. All I get is the spinning beachball when I try to play a movie thats local to the mac. Any ideas anyone? anyone? Buehler?

Though I've had the HDCP compatible monitor error before the monitors I'm using now are HD and have worked. Turns out it's the same old crap that happens after almost every mac update. Authorizations. Re-authorized the computer and all is well.

Troubleshooting Playing Downloaded Movies on Mac:

This is likely because your videos are not of Dolby type. I've had this issue since iOS15.3 upgrade. HDR and 4K videos may play. But, your TV or Projector needs to have HDR type and have the option for playing dolby type.
