Why does Apple restrict the export of data from iOS devices to only other Apple products? I have seen the iOS products go from a true open communications computer to one that doesn’t even allow network information and discourages file sharing, saving of contacts, etc. with anything other than Apple devices.
The same is true of the iWork software where importing and exporting to, let’s say, Pages doesn’t even support open standards such as ODT…
