I just received the new mini and the wifi connection is horrible. It continually drops, while my phone and 5 year old macbook have no connections issues when in the same area. I have turned the unit on it's side, I have restarted multiple times...
Any suggestions on how to get a usable connection?
I have a modern WI-Fi 6 router and SSID about 20 feet from my new M2 mini Pro. There is a wall twenty feet between the router and the mini, a 32-in display, and an 802.11n wireless Desktop Google voice phone that sits about 20 inches from the mini.
My Wi-Fi performance ranged from 67 Mbps to 1.1 Gbps, usually on the slower side. I moved the Google Voice phone from my Desktop to the same room as the router, and turned the mini on its side with the bottom facing the router signal direction. Now, I have a consistent 1 Gbps Wi-Fi 6 connection.

Check the status of your network connections
You can check your settings and the status of each network service, such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Bluetooth, in Network settings.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu> System Settings, then click Network
in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
The network service you’re using should have a green indicator and the word “Connected.”
To view more information about your network service, click to select it.
If you still are not able to get a good signal, you may want to reach out to Apple Support.

There is a big thread here with many replies and no suitable solution. Call Apple and make sure they know about this so whether it's a hardware or software issue can be figured out and fixed.
