format page numbers

how can I format page numbers in Numbers for MAC? I want page number to be continuous from page 1. I also want to format the page number as Page 1 of 2, Page 2 of 2.

You can do that.


  1. Command P to get into the print setup area
  2. In the footer type "Page " (without the quotes)
  3. Use the menu item Insert->Page Number to put the page number
  4. Type " of "
  5. Use the menu item Insert->Page Count
  6. The above will apply to the sheet you did it on. Copy/paste it to the other sheets.
  7. If you want numbering to continue from one sheet to the next, in the sidebar on the right select "continue from previous sheet".
