The question mark keeps flashing and does not respond to any inputs

I just get a flashing question mark and my MacBook does not accept any inputs

The flashing folder with question mark indicates that the Mac cannot locate a usable operating system.

You'll need to reinstall the OS by rebooting in Recovery mode.
