No daily alarm sound after updating to 16.3.1

I'm always reluctant to up update my operating system because it ALWAYS screws up other functions that i use in the phone. I was trying to track a package and the shipper require the "ROUTE" app to track. Upon trying to download the app it said I needed to upgrade my operating system in order to use it, so I did. BIG MISTAKE!!!!! Don't ever do that if you like the way your phone is working.

Since then my "daily" wake-up alarm has be pretty much silent. Prior to the upgrade the adjustment for the alarm volume was separate from other volumes.

Now it appears that the alarm volume is tied to the phone ring volume so when I turn my phone down for daily office work, it also turns down my alarm volume so I'm constantly adjusting it.

This is frustrating as **** and unacceptable!

APPLE: Why in the world would you do this?

Many users who have updated to iOS 16 and above must have a similar issue if the issues stated by you are due to the iOS.

Unless you state what the issue is many in this forum may not be able to respond positively to the issue you are facing.

With the limited information that you have provided, It is hard to even guess the problems faced by you.

I stated quite clearly what the issue is.

Prior to the update, my alarm volume was separate from all other volumes. It's appear that it's tied to my main volume. I used to be able to set my daily "wake-up" alarm volume and it would remain at that level "forever".

It was completely separate from all other volume levels. That is no longer the case.

If I adjust my ring volume, it affects my "wake-up" alarm volume.

This requires constant adjustment before bedtime which seldom works.
