No. The iPad 5th Generation does not support any Apple Pencil. It precedes the release of the first gen Apple Pencil, and as such lacks the hardware in the screen to interact with it.

Those are the models compatible with each mode of Apple pencil. No other models of iPad are compatible with any Apple Pencil.
